Summary of Inspections
The total number of visits paid by the Sanitary Inspectors to
various premises for all purposes is summarised below, together with
the number of defects found under specific headings.
The visits numbered 3,420 as compared with 3,585 in the
previous year; the defects dealt with numbered 784, as compared
with 1,139 in 1937.
The figures stated above reflect in some small measure the
disturbance in routine caused by the crisis in September and for
some months afterwards.
