Laboratory Work.
The usual arrangements were continued during the year and worked
satisfactorily.
The following table gives the number of specimens examined during the year:-

Ambulance Facilities.
On the 5th July, 1948, the County Council became the responsible
authority for the provision of the Ambulance Service under the National
Health Service Act, 1946.

The following table shows the work done by the Corporation's Ambulance Service prior to the transfer, i.e., 1/1/48 to 4/7/48:-
