The total attendances of children and mothers at the various
sessions during the year numbered 21,258. In 1940 the
number was 21,839. The figures for each clinic are sot out
below.

DENTAL TREATMENT OP CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS
During the year, 127 children under 5 years of age
received complete dental treatment.
MILK AND OTHER FOODS, ETC.
During the year, 481 applications for assisted
supplies of milk and other foods wore granted in necessitous
cases and supplied free of charge. The total quantity of
milk supplied was as follows :-
Liquid milk - nil
Dried milk - 16,774- lbs.
CHILD LIKE PROTECTION
There have been a few instances where foster parents
failed to send proper notice of reception or removal of a
fostor child. Proceedings were instituted in one case in
respect of these contraventions, and in other instances a
warning letter was sent.
All the Health Visitors are appointed Child Life
Protection Visitors, and the visits of supervision of foster-
children are carried out by them.
