Daring the year, the following visits were made to
premises upon which food is prepared or sold:-
Butchers' Shops 331
Restaurants and eating-house kitchens;
Grocers' shops 289
Greengrocers' Shops 164.
Pish Shops 63
Ice Cream etc., Premises 49
Prosecution.
Proceedings were instituted in respect of the sale of
an unsound sliced wrapped loaf. The firm responsible were
fined £2 and £3.3.0. costs.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY COUNCIL (GENERAL POWERS)
ACT, 1938
The registration of Hawkers of Meat, Pish and Vegetables
together with the Premises used as storage accommodation is
required under Section 71 of the above Act. At the end
of the year 14 persons and 13 promises had been registered.
FOOD AND DRUGS ACT 1938
The Middlesex County Council are the Food and Drugs
Authority for the Borough.
