LABORATORY WORK
Specimens for bacteriological examination were sent to the
Pathological Department, Victoria Hospital, Kingston-upon-Thames
(Ministry of Health Emergency" Pathology Service). The arrangements
are quite satisfactory.

The following table, gives the' number of specimens examined

during the year:-

AMBULANCE FACILITIES
Infectious diseases.
A motor ambulance is provided by the South Middlesex and
Richmond Joint Hospital Board.
Non-Infectious and accident cases.
Pour motor ambulances are provided by the Council. During
the year they were stationed at Stanley Road Ambulance Station.
The facilities were adequate for the needs of the Borough.

NURSING IN THE HOME
There are in the Borough five home-nursing associations
employing nurses - viz., Twickenham Nursing Association, Tedding
ton & District Nursing Association, Hampton Nursing Association,
Hampton Hill Nursing Association, and the Hampton Wick District
Nursing Association.
During the year the Council contributed £300 to the funds
of the associations.
