Under previous legislation, the Middlesex County
Council were the food and Drugs Authority
before the Act came into operation, application was made by
them to the Minister of Health for Power to continue as the
Authority under the new Act in all the areas formerly served
The Public Health Committee were of the opinion
that it was desirable that the Twickenham Corporation should,
be a Pood and Drugs Authority under the Act and objection.
to the Middlesex County Council s proposal were accordingly
made.
After careful consideration of the evidence placed
before him, however, the Minister of Health acceded to the
application of the Middlesex County Council to continue as one
Pood and Drugs Authority in areas formerly served by them.
