GENERAL.
Laboratory Work.
Specimens for bacteriological examination, as hitherto, were sent to th
Pathological department, Royal hospital, Richmond. The arrangement
work smoothly and are quite satisfactory.
The following table shows the number of specimens examined during the year:—

Ambulance Facilities.
Infectious diseases. A motor ambulance is provided by the South
Middlesex and Richmond Joint Hospital Board.
Non-infectious and accident cases. Four motor ambulances are provided
by the Council. Three of these are stationed at Twickenham fire station, and
the other at Teddington fire station.
The facilities are adequate for the needs of the borough.

Nursing in the Home.
There are five home-nursing associations in the borough employing
nurses—viz., Twickenham Nursing Association, Teddington and District
Nursing Association, Hampton Nursing Association, Hampton Hill Nursing
Association, and the Hampton Wick Nurse and Dispensary Fund.
The Council contributed the total sum of .£194 to the associations during
the year.
