It is, however, to the staff of the Health Department that I desire particularly to convey
my appreciation. Only with their loyal and willing help, has it been possible to carry out the
duties and, in the particularly arduous and trying time since the enlargement of the Borough, their
services have been given unreservedly and uncomplainingly at all times. I desire to include in this
tribute, not only those who have served with me for many years, some through nearly the whole
term of my office, but all those who have joined the department since amalgamation.
I am, Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen, Your obedient servant,
George .H. Duponk
Medical Officer of Health.
