There are a number of butchers' shops in which fixed glass windows have not been provided.
The attention of the occupiers of each of these was drawn to the necessity of exercising
special care to prevent contamination of the meat displayed, and in no case did it become necessary
to take further action.
Other places in which food was prepared or sold were kept under strict supervision the
following visits being paid by the inspectors for this purpose
Restaurants and eating-house kitchens and grocers' shops 683 visits.
Greengrocers shops 371 visits.
Fish shops 223 visits.
