Petroleum Acts.
Forty-six licences to keep petrol were issued to 43 persons, and 8 licences to 6 persons to
keep carbide of calcium.
The number of visits paid bv the Inspectors in connection with these premises was 204.

SECTION D.
HOUSING.
The work of inspection of the district with a view to representing the houses which are
unfit for human habitation, and which are repairable at a reasonable expense or not so repairable,
has been actively continued.
It will be seen from the tables which follow that, in consequence of this activity, demolition
orders have been made in reference to a considerable number of unfit dwellings, while extensive
repairs have been carried out in order to render the remainder fit for occupation.
