Death.
The one death which occurred during the year was that of a child
aged four months who died 12 hours after admission from acute enteritis.
Cause of death was confirmed by a post-mortem examination. The child
had been artificially fed on dried milk.
Cross Infection.
A child admitted with scarlet fever was at the time of admission
incubating mumps and gave rise to one secondary case in the ward.
