BOROUGH OF BARNES.
Report of the medical officer of health for
the year 1938.
Section I.
statistics and social conditions of
the district.
PHYSICAL FEATURES AND GENERAL CHARACTER OF
THE AREA.
A detailed review of the physical features and general character
of the area was given in my previous Survey Reports. There has
been no alteration in the extent or boundaries of the area since that
date. The area is now very largely built-up and the existence of
the numerous and extensive permanent open spaces in such a district
is of incalculable value from a public health aspect.
