ANNUAL REPORT.
WAR EMERGENCY COMMITTEES.
Many Committees have been formed for the purpose of dealing
with conditions arising out of the War. These have meant much
extra time given up by the Councillors and the Executive Officers
of the Council.
The chief Committees are :—
The Barnes and Mortlake Tribunal.
The Naval and Military War Pensions Committee.
The War Savings Committee.
The War Allotments Committee.
The Food Control Committee.
The Food Economy Committee (Communal Kitchens, etc).
MUNITIONS WORKS.
There are four such works in the district, employing a large
number of people.
SOLDIERS.
Men continue to be billetted in the district, and a militaiy
camp exists in Barnes.
