Manufacture, Storage and Sale of Ice Cream.
100 registrations were in force at the beginning of the year, and a
further two were added during the year.
The proprietor of a boathouse which is situated adjacent to lakes
in a public park applied for the registration of the premises for the
storage and sale of ice cream. Conditions at the premises made it
impossible to recommend the registration to the Public Health Committee
and a notice was served upon the proprietor indicating the
time and place at which the Public Health Committee proposed to
take the matter into consideration and informing him that he may
attend before them to show cause why the authority should not, for
reasons specified in the notice refuse the application.
The applicant, appearing before the Committee, stated the work
he was doing and proposed doing in order to meet our requirements.
Although he was informed that his premises would be registered
for the sale of wrapped ice cream upon the completion of the agreed
works he never pressed his request for the registration.
