Swimming Bath Water
Four samples of water from swimming baths were taken; three
from schools and one from a well known national orphanage. In all
cases the bacteriologist reported that the water was suitable for use
in a swimming bath although in three cases there was a need for
residual chlorine. Addition of alkali was recommended in the fourth
case because the water had a reaction on the acid side of
neutrality. Two of the three schools and the orphanage dose the
water manually whilst the third school has a filtration and
chlorination plant.
