(iv) Dental Treatment.
This work has been seriously hampered by the difficulty in obtaining
Dental Surgeons. I am setting out below some statistical information on
the work carried out during the year:—

(b) Midwifery and Home Nursing Service.
The number of domiciliary cases in the Borough attended by Municipal
Midwives was 253—186 in their capacity as midwife and 67 as maternity
nurse. Of the 186 cases attended as midwives, 157 received gas and air
analgesia or 84.4 per cent. 48 of the 67 cases attended as maternity nurse
received analgesia, a percentage of 71.8.
Ante-natal Clinic. The ante-natal clinic is situated at 118 Hermon
Hill, South Woodford, E.18. Sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 2-4 p.m. and 1,887 attendances were made by patients during the
year. The post-natal clinic is held at the same address and 680 attendances
were made.
On the home nursing side the following visits were carried out in the
Borough: —•
