47 complaints regarding the quality, nature and substance of
food were received during 1966, as follows:-

Bacon 3 Pilchards 1
Bread 11 Pineapple chunks 1
Cheese 1 Potatoes 2
Chicken pie 1 Red cabbage 1
Chicken and ham pie 1 Salmon 1
Chipolata sausages 1 Salt beef 1
Chocolates 1 Skinless beef sausages 1
Corned beef 2 Slab cake 1
Cream 1 Sliced peaches 1
Fried fish 1 Soft herring roes 1
Liver sausage 1 Steak and kidney pie 4
Meat patty 1 Stewed steak with gravy 1
Milk 3 Pork pies 1
These conplaints were all investigated and in 12 cases formal
action was taken.
