FOOD CONTROL
1, FOOD HYGIENE (GENERAL) REGULATIONS, 1960.
Food hygiene is considered to be one of the primary duties of
the Public Health Department, during the year 1,169 visits were made to
the premises of manufacturers, vendors, and hawkers, in this connection.
Informal action has been taken in 60 instances to secure compliance
with the Regulations. In all cases the goodwill and co-operation of
the traders has been secured and the desired results effected without
resort to legal proceedings.
