2. FOOD HYGIENE (GENERAL) REGULATIONS, 1960.
Premises where food is manufactured, stored, or sold, are
periodically visited to ensure the compliance with the Regulations. The
standard in the District is good and no major infringements were found.
In 51 cases letters were sent to proprietors calling attention to minor
contraventions and in 48 instances have been complied with. During the
year, 1 lock-up cafe has been rebuilt and provided with main drainage and
sanitary accommodation for the staff.
