During the course of the year, the Riding School
conducted at the Albany Stud Farm, Epping New Road,
was closed but horses are still retained on the premises
for other purposes. The business of Mr. W.M. Scanes
at Chase Farm was taken over by Mrs. Taylor, whilst the
Riding School at Sunnymede, Chigwell Row, was transferred
to Hainault Road, Chigwell.
I give below a list of the premises inspected, the
owner or person in charge and the average number of horses
or ponies kept thereon:-
Albany Stud Farm, Epplng New Road, Buckhurst Hill
Mr. C. Jackson lives adjoining. 8 horses.
Nightingale Riding School, Buckhurst HillMr.
T. Robinson, 74 Field Road, Forest Gate, E.7.
14 horses, plus 9 at livery.
Forest Riding School. Buckhurst Hill - Miss De Berry
lives adjoining. 6 horses, plus 2 at livery.
Braeside. Connaught Avenue, Loughton - Mrs. A. Cooker,
7 Spring Gardens, Woodford Green, 8 horses all at
livery.
Chigwell Riding School Chigwell. 11.(Formerly at
Sunnymede, Chigwell Row now at Hainault Road- Chigwell)
Mr. C. Wood, 33 Fontayne Avenue, Grange Hill, 10 horses,
plus 2 at livery.
Limes Farm Riding School. Manor Road,. Chigwell
Mrs. D. Barnett, 23 Harewood Drive, Ilford. 13 horses,
plus 5 at livery.
