Mass Radiography
At my request, the Unit visited the District in May, 1957,
following which the organising secretary wrote as follows:—
"I am writing to let you know the figures for the Loughton
and Debden Estate Mass Radiography survey.
At the Crown Hotel, Loughton we X-rayed a total of 1395
Bank of England Debden Estate 918
Hillyfields, Debden Estate 311
Golden Lion, Borders Lane, Debden Estate 498
The Broadway, Debden Estate 1095
making a total for the Loughton survey of 4,217
At Buckhurst Hill we X-rayed 509 on the 30th May.
I think you will agree that all these figures are most satisfactory.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and
your department most sincerely for all your did to help us in
the arrangements and in publicising our visit."
