(d) The Chigwell and Waltham Holy Cross Hygienic Food
Traders' Guild arranged a course of three lectures for food
traders and their employees in February, 1953. All the
lectures were well attended, averaging over 100 people at each
lecture.
On the conclusion of the course a certificate was awarded for
full attendance and 67 certificates were presented.
A series of advertisements commenced in local newspapers
in December, 1953.
