Section C.
SANITARY CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE AREA.
1. Water—
The water supply for almost the whole district is derived from the
Metropolitan Water Board, and this supply is satisfactory. There
are a few isolated houses where the supply is still obtained from
wells.
The report on the last sample of water taken from the well at
" Broadstroode Lodge," Keepers Cottage, Loughton, was satisfactory.
Precautions taken to guard against contamination of emergency
water supplies remain the same. Every wardens' post in the district
has a supply of water steriliser which will be made available to the
public should necessity arise. Directions as to the proper use of
the fluid are at Wardens' Posts.
