CHIGWELL URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL
To the Chairman and Members of the Chigwell Urban District Council.
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I beg to present the Annual Report for the year 1939 upon the
health and sanitary circumstances of the district.
It is appropriate here to record that Dr. C. R. Dykes retired in
May of the year under review, after 38 years of service, from 1905—
1933 as Medical Officer of Health to the Buckhurst Hill Urban District
Council and subsequently from 1933—1939 as Medical Officer of
Health of the Chigwell combined district.
At the meeting of the Council held in June, the Chairman referred
to Dr. Dykes long and loyal service and wished him many years of
happiness.
