ROAD SAFETY

The year showed an improvement in the motor vehicle accident figures for Southall.
The total of persons killed or injured was lower by 73 than in 1961, but a 2-year-old boy was
killed; and the number of children injured was down from 82 in 1961 to 63 in 1962.
Of the three dying as a result of motor accidents in Southall, two were Southall residents
and this included the 2-year-old boy; one other Southall resident died as a result of a road
accident received when he was away from home.
