The first fourteen samples were taken in connection with the food poisoning outbreak
at a local factory and a report on this is to be found on page 38. The only other unsatisfactory
result was from dessicated coconut—no food poisoning organisms were found,
but advice was given regarding the desirability of cooking coconut before using.

Satisfactory communication has been maintained during the year with the County Public Control Department, and the report on the work carried out in Southall by the staff of that Department is as follows:—
