occur deaths from this disease where the cases are found after death to have been infectious
and not discovered during life. Each one of these undiscovered cases is of course an immense
reservoir of infection for other people who come in contact.
The analysis of the housing conditions of new cases shows that of the notified patients
living in Southall exclusive of the St. Bernard's Hospital notifications, housing conditions
were reasonably good in all except three. Three patients were living in overcrowded homes,
