Diphtheria.
Twenty cases notified as diphtheria were admitted to the hospital. Nine of
these were confirmed as diphtheria.

The disease was of a mild type.
The complications recorded were as follows:—

Other Diseases.
Seventeen patients admitted as scarlatina or diphtheria were subsequently
diagnosed as suffering from other diseases. These were as follows (one case notified
as diphtheria and subsequently diagnosed as scarlatina is included in the return of this
second disease):—
