Maternity and Nursing Homes.
The Middlesex County Council is the local authority under the Acts relating
to the registration of maternity and other nursing homes. There are two private
nursing homes in the district.
The following information, relating to maternity and nursing homes in Southall,
has been kindly supplied by the County Medical Officer:—

Grants of Milk.
Milk is supplied free or at a reduced rate to expectant mothers (from the third
month of pregnancy), to nursing mothers, and to children under five years of age,
according to a scale which has been adopted by the Council.
There were 3,379 applications granted during the year, as follows:—
