4. Housing Act, 1936—Overcrowding—
(a) (1) Number of dwellings overcrowded at the end of the year 28
(2) Number of families dwelling therein 28

(c) (1) Number of cases of overcrowding relieved during the year 118

become overcrowded after the local authority have taken steps
for the abatement of overcrowding 0
Since the appointed day, 1st January, 1937, three cases of
overcrowding were found by the Department, two of which are
receiving the attention of the Department. During the year
222 houses at the Dane Road Housing Site were completed,
and plans have been prepared and estimates submitted for a
further 122 houses on the Dormers Wells housing site.
(e) Any other particulars with respect to overcrowding conditions
upon which the Medical Officer of Health may consider it
desirable to report: Nil.
