SANITARY INSPECTION OF DISTRICT.
The total number of inspections made to premises in
connection with the work of your Health Department (including
re-visits and visits to food shops) was 8,594. Houseto-house
inspections, supervision and testing of drainage
and sanitary fittings, taking of samples of milk, and other
foods, inspection of canal boats, lodging-houses, dairies,
cowsheds, milkshops, storage of petroleum, workshops,
slaughterhouses, bake-houses and all premises where food
is deposited, prepared or exposed for sale, have each received
attention.
