Scale of Charges for Dentures.
There was an adjustment made in the dentures scale on which mothers are assessed to
re-pay a proportion of the cost of their dentures according to their circumstances. In October.
1937, the Committee decided instead of charging full cost where the income was above 12/ld.
per head, the charge was to be three-quarters of the cost from 12/ld. to 13/-, and not until the
income per head per week, after deducting rent, goes over 13/ld., do they have to pay full cost.
VOLUNTARY SOCIETIES AND HELPERS.
The Isleworth Nursing Association and the Osterley, North Hounslow and Heston Nursing
Association are the only Voluntary Societies in direct contact with the Council's Maternity and
Child Welfare Scheme.
