The Maternity and Child Welfare Centres are kept almost entirely for consultation purposes, treatment being reduced to an absolute minimum so as not to
clash in any way with the Local Med;cal Practitioners. The only Day Nursery in the district was closed in 1920.
The Monday Session at Heston M. & C.W. Centre is temporary, to deal with Cranford mothers until a Cranford Centre is opened.
