The two unsatisfactory samples of milk were informal samples taken in course of delivery
by a provincial farmer. Subsequent samples were found to be geniune.
Milk.—I have received the following report from the County Medical Officer with regard
to the action taken to safeguard the milk supply of the district:—
"Work carried out during the year by the County Council under the Milk and Dairies
(Consolidation) Act, 1915 and the Tuberculosis Order, 1925.
Routine examination of milch cattle was carried out during the year by the County
Council's whole time veterinary inspector. During 1932, 435 inspections of cows were carried
out in Heston and Isleworth, but none of these cows was found to be suffering from tuberculosis.
One cow was reported by its owner as suspected to be suffering from tuberculosis, this diagnosis
was confirmed and the cow slaughtered.
I have not yet obtained information from Hampshire regarding the result of the examination of the herd concerned.
