CLINICS AND TREATMENT CENTRES IN THE DISTRICT.
The two Maternity and Child Welfare Centres are kept almost
entirely for consultation purposes, treatment being reduced to an
absolute minimum so as not to clash in any way with local Medical
Practitioners.
The only Day Nursery in the district was closed in 1920.
There are two School Clinics at each of which the Medical
Officer attends twico a week, and at which treatment for minor
ailments is carried out on five mornings in the week.
The Tuberculosis Clinic which is part of the County machinery
is situate in Hounslow in the centre of a populous district.
There is no clinic for Venereal Diseases.
Professional Nursing in the Home.
The Isleworth Nursing Association carried on this work throughout
the district. There is an arrangement with them also for
nursing Measles and Whooping Cough. No payments are made
either by the County Council or by the Local Authority.
