Ringworm.
12 sessions have been held at the Alexandra School Clinic
by Dr. D. Arthur, the Radiographer. 24 cases of Ringworm of
the Scalp have been treated.
Minor Ailments.
Treatment is available for Minor Ailments at Clinics held at
the Isleworth Public Hall on Monday and Thursday, and at the
Alexandra Road School on Friday.
During the year 241 treatments have been recorded.
Dental Inspection and Treatment.
In April, 1919, Mr. G. E. Fritche resigned the post of School
Dentist, and Mr. I. Cohen was appointed.
The time devoted to dental inspection and treatment was then
increased to two half-days per week until December, when the
time was further increased to three sessions per week. It was
not, however, found practicable to commence the administration of
gas at the Dental Clinic until the beginning of 1920.

Children inspected 1,374
Found to require treatment 1,117
Children treated at Clinic 471
The children inspected were those of six, seven and eight years
of age. That 81 per cent. of those inspected should require
treatment is an indication of the need there exists for this branch
of the School Medical Service.
Mr. Fritche conducted 11 treatment sessions and gave 97
treatments, while Mr. Cohen held 43 treatment sessions and treated
374 children, the treatment including 330 extractions and 18G fillings.
Now that the benefits of the Dental Clinic are becoming better
known, and especially since gas administrations have been introduced,
parents are consenting to treatment in larger numbers. There is,
in fact, a large demand for treatment among the older children,
who do not at present come under the inspection of the School
