Health Department,
Council House, Hounslow.
May, 1920.
To the Chairman and Members of the Heston and Isleworth
Urban District Council.
Gentlemen,
In submitting the Annual Eeport for the year 1919, it is
necessary to put on record certain changes that took place in your
Medical Staff.
Dr. Bramwell Eeid, your late Medical Officer, died 7th May,
1919. Dr. Allan Hair acted as Deputy Medical Officer from then
until the end of July.
Dr. Kerr Simpson was appointed as your first Assistant
Medical Officer and took up his duties July 14th, 1919, and I
myself took over from Dr. Hair as from August 1st.
In the body of the report I have drawn attention to the
desirability of increasing the outdoor staff to enable me to cope
with the increasing demands in respect of Maternity and Child
Welfare Work and Inspection of Food, etc., and urgent Housing
requirements.
I have to express my hearty thanks to the Staff of the Health
Department for their extremely willing and efficient service.
I am, Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
W. A. BEEEY,
Medical Officer of Health.
