To the Chairman and Members of the Heston and Isleivorth
Urban District Council.
Gentlemen,
The accompanying report was prepared and in the hands of
the late Dr. W. B. Reid, during his illness but he was unfortunately
unable to complete it with his signature. I have therefore
formally to present it to the Council as your Deputy Medical
Officer of Health. I desire only to take advantage of the occasion
to express the deep sense of loss felt by myself and the staff at
the passing away of the late Medical Officer of Health, after a
prolonged period of suffering heroically borne.
