The appointment of a third Health Visitor has resulted in
a considerable increase of work under the Notification of Births
Act. Although the new Health Visitor only took up her duties
in September, 2282 revisits were made to infants, as compared
with 560 in the previous year. Most infants are revisited now at
least three times in the first three months, once every three months
until a year old and again at the age of two.
The percentage (88) of children who are receiving mother's
milk shews a slight decrease compared with that of last year, 89.
