The number of food premises registered in accordance with Section 16 of
the Act is as follows:-
Registered for the storage and sale of ice-cream 151
Registered for the manufacture and sale of icecream

potted, pressed, pickled or preserved food 40
The number of inspections of registered food premises during 1961 was 326.
UNSOUND FOOD.
Following the closing down of the Corporation's refuse disposal works at
the end of 1955, arrangements were made with Merton and Morden U.D.C. for the
reception of unsound food surrendered to the Health Department. This system is
still operating satisfactorily.
