The Defendant appealed to the Quarter Sessions against the amount
of fines imposed. The appeal was dismissed and further costs amounting
to £5. 5s. Od. were awarded against the Appellant.
(2) Work carried out in default.
In one instance it was necessary to carry out work in default after
the service of a Notice under the Wimbledon Corporation Act, 1933,
Section 53, in connection with a blocked soil drainage system. The
cost of the work was recovered from the owner concerned.
(3) Nuisances abated and defects remedied.
