Early in the year a member of the staff at a Girls' School in
Wimbledon was found to be suffering from tuberculosis. A Mantoux
skin test was carried out on all the scholars whose parents gave their
consent, and arrangements were made for the positive reactors to undergo
a mass x-ray examination of the chest through the Mass
Radiography Unit. 83 girls attended for x-ray. The results of these
investigations indicated that none of the scholars had been infected in
the school.
