these, and one teacher, were subsequently notified as suffering from
Sonne dysentery. Three contacts of these children were also found to
be suffering from the disease.
Diphtheria.
Two patients suspected to be suffering from diphtheria were admitted
to hospital. One was found on investigation to be suffering
from glandular fever, and the other from cervical adenitis.
Immunisation against Diphtheria.
The authority responsible for immunisation in this area is the
Surrey County Council.
The following table shows the number of children in Wimbledon under the age of 15 years who have been immunised against diphtheria.
