Other Diseases.—One child suffering from whooping
cough was transferred to the Isolation Hospital at the request
of one of the large children's hospitals in London.
Another patient, suffering from mumps, was found to be
a diphtheria carrier and was admitted into the Isolation
Hospital for treatment.
Fifty-four cases remained in hospital at the end of 1932.
Thirty-one of these were scarlet fever cases, twenty-two
diphtheria, and one whooping cough.
Staff.—During the year under review one of the nurses
contracted scarlet fever. Otherwise there was very little
sickness of importance amongst the members of the hospital
staff.
I should again like to take the opportunity of thanking
the matron and staff for the loyal and enthusiastic way in
which they have carried out their duties.
