Sanitary Inspection of District.—The following is a statement showing the number and nature of inspections made, the number of informal and statutory notices served, with the result of such notices, for the year 1932.

Seven hundred and sixty-nine preliminary or informal
notices were served in respect of six hundred and ninety-nine
houses.
One hundred and two statutory notices were served in
respect of one hundred and fifty-seven houses.
The necessary work was executed in all but one hundred
and two cases, which were not completed by the end of the
year. In sixty-eight of these, the work was actually in hand
at the close of the year.
Table III. gives a summary of the nuisances abated, and
improvements carried out under the supervision of the
staff of the Public Health Department.
