(v) An Orthopaedic Nurse from St. Thomas' Hospital or
Pyrford will attend the Orthopaedic Clinic one session
per week to carry out the necessary after-care. These
sessions will be increased if found necessary.
Children sent into Pyrford will receive education whilst
undergoing treatment.
It is hoped that this scheme will be put into operation early
in 1931.
(i) Artificial Light Treatment.
Arrangements were made during the year for 12 children
attending the Health Centre to receive Artificial Light Teatment.
The children selected for this treatment were suffering from
malnutrition and anaemia often associated with manifestations
of rheumatism.
SPEECH CLINIC.
The Speech Clinic in 1930 was continued on the same lines
as during the previous year.
Sanction was obtained from the Board of Education at the
end of each session for its continuance for a further period of
three months. As there was no delay in obtaining this sanction
the classes were held regularly in accordance with the school
terms.

The Easter Term started on 15th January and terminated on 10th April. The following cases were treated:—

During this term, owing to disparity in the ages, it was considered
advisable to divide the stammerers' class into two, with
very satisfactory results.
By the end of the term two cases of defective speech had
been cured.

Classes in the Summer Term began on 30th April and terminated on 17th July. The following cases were treated:—

One stammerer and six children with defective speech were
cured and discharged.
