ANNUAL REPORT
of the
Medical Officer of Health
for the
Year ended 31st December, 1928.
To the Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors
of the Borough of Wimbledon.
Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to submit the Annual Reports on the
work of the Public Health Department for the year ending
31st December, 1928, together with my Report as School
Medical Officer. The Annual Report of the Medical Officer of
Health for 1928 is an Ordinary Report, prepared on the lines
suggested in Circular 939. issued by the Ministry of Health
on 13th December, 1928.
Dr. Gilmour, the late Medical Officer of Health, died on
13th May, 1928. As I commenced my duties as Medical
Officer of Health on 4th February, 1929, the Report for the
year under review has been drawn up on similar lines to
the Annual Report for the year 1927.
Staff and Administration.
(a) Changes in Staff:—Miss J. E. D. Elder, School NurseHealth
Visitor resigned in May, 1928, and Miss K. Kenion
commenced duty in November, 1928.
(b) New Premises:—
(i) New Day Nursery :—These new premises situated in
Hubert Road, South Wimbledon, were opened on the 16th
July, 1928. The Nursery is constructed on modern lines.
