Sanitary Inspeaction of District:-The following is a statement showing the number and nature of inspections made,the number of informal and statutory notice served, with the result of such notice,for the year 1927, asreport by the Sanitary Inspector.

One thousand three hundred and three preliminary or
informal notices were served in respect of 1,330 houses.
One hundred and fifteen statutory notices were served
in respect of 130 houses.
The necessary work was executed in all but 206 cases,
which were not completed by the end of the year. In 107 of
these, the work was actually in hand at the close of the year.
Table III. gives a summary of the nuisances abated, and
sanitary improvement carried out under the supervision of
the Inspectorial Staff.
