Tuesday afternoons. This Clinic is extremely popular with
parents, and many bring their children on their own initiative.
737 children attended during the year, and while the great
majority were mild cases of transient or indefinite illnesses,
several cases of heart and lung conditions, of glandular affections,
of early rheumatic and nervous diseases were discovered,
which, by their early treatment, were prevented from developing
into more serious and crippling conditions.
Children with definite diseases requiring hospital treatment
also attend this Clinic, and admission to hospital is
secured in many cases through the agency of the Medical
Officers.
