VI.—General and Miscellaneous:— From the 26th-31st
October, 1925, a " Health " Week was held at the Baths Hall,
Latimer Road, Wimbledon. In addition to lectures and cinema
displays on popular health topics, there was an excellent exhibit
by the sanitary section, showing good and faulty household
fittings (e.g., sinks, water-closets, dust-bins, etc.), as well as the
simpler methods of eradicating household pests. Exhibits by
other Municipal Departments, especially the Electricity Department
in regard to cooking, heating and lighting by electricity,
were much appreciated. It was estimated that over 10,000
persons (including 2,000 school children) visited the exhibition.
